3/11/2013 We are officially feeling healthy and are getting back to our regular schedule. Thankfully I was really the only one that got sick. Apparently I can’t handle the weather change between sunny (hot) California and cold Minnesota. We have high hopes that spring is just around the corner, but since we have been back we have accumulated about 2 feet of snow. Not all at once, but the most recent snow fall was about 12-15 inches. We are most certainly looking forward to “warmer” weather, park time, zoo, and farmer’s markets.
This past week we spent most of our time indoors and we decided to have a little fun participating in a fashion challenge on instagram. I have mentioned Lauren Hartmann a few times. She is a blogger over at Babble, Disney and The Little Things We Do. She put together a post encouraging others to “shop” in your child’s closet for 3 items that you could restyle different throughout 7 days. I thought it would fun to participate and give us an incentive to get dressed and stay on schedule as much as possible. So I took a cue from my mom and picked out Zoe’s clothes for the next 7 days. It was nice to be able to just grab an outfit and put it on. I think it is something I will keep up and encourage Zoe to do when she is older and picking out her own clothes. Along with the challenge I posted a picture each day of Zoe in her outfit. This was also a lot of fun for me. I got A LOT of pictures of Zoe! Each day I had to pick just one picture, but since we live in the digital age I was able to take more than I know what to do with. So I thought I would share them here and take them off my phone. I chose to put Zoe on one of our chairs with a sign above her with the day #. I turned on some music and snapped away. Here is what I got… (Warning there is over 100 pictures, I had a hard time deleting pictures, and I wanted to keep it real and show off Zoe’s true personality)

Dear Zoe,
I hope that you find creativity in life. That you will be able to take what you have been given and make something of it. I want you to always remember that you have a beautiful soul and I hope that you never stifle that with how the world defines beauty. You always seem to find the beat and you aren’t afraid to dance. Baby girl NEVER lose that! I hope to guide you on your journey to becoming a woman and I promise to be a living example for you. I may stumble sometimes, but you are a constant reminder of the woman I want to be. I hope that I am able to foster your own personality and that I remember to not make you just like me. You are your own individual. I am looking forward to getting to know you as you develop and grow into a beautiful young lady. I love you with all my heart!
Love,
Mom
