3/29/2013 Yay! Dada has the day off! We decided to celebrate Good Friday with a trip to the Macy’s Flower Show.
The weather hasn’t been great, but on the plus side it hasn’t snowed for almost three weeks. So it was about time to experience some “spring” colors. We headed over to the flower show and apparently everyone else had the same idea, but that didn’t stop us. This years flower show theme was Painted Garden centered around “the architect and vibrant spirit of South Asia.” They also had chalk muralist, Max Holmgren creating a mural to be completed on the last day of the show. We were lucky enough to see him in action. I was really excited to see him work. I have been playing a lot with chalk and first off I hate chalk, but I am starting to like it. Secondly it is a really unforgiving medium to work with. I have a lot of admiration for chalk artists. Ok now for the explosion of color…

Before we headed out we stopped in to check on the progress of the chalk artist.
After the flower show we stopped by Tommy’s office. Tommy needed to photograph a poster he will be sending off to a gallery. So Zoe and I decided to explore the office. We really like seeing where Dada works and checking out his view. It’s not a bad view from the 26th floor.

While we were exploring we walked past a wall filled with jars. Inside them are things that describe the person. We found Tommy’s jar. Inside his is toilet paper. Tommy chose toilet paper because his initials are TP, he does his best thinking in the bathroom and in his profession he sometimes has to pull ideas out of his…

After we were done exploring Zoe checked out Dada’s cube. Zoe loves sitting at desks and banging on keyboards. She reminds me a lot of the boss lady (aka my mom).

We had a lot of fun visiting Dada’s office. Now it was time to head home for an afternoon nap. Zoe barely made it out of the parking garage before she fell asleep, so we decided to call in an order to Luce’s Pizza. We stopped by and picked up our order and headed home. Tommy and I decided to enjoy our pizza curbside, while Zoe continued her nap.

We ended our day with a visit to a friends house. Thank you Poom and Michael for a wonderful evening. We enjoyed your home cooking and lots of laughs! I am so thankful for a wonderful good Friday. It was such a fun filled and blessed day.
