WOW!! It has been a long time, no blog. I know a few of you have kept up with us on insta, but for those of you that don’t I am going to back track a little before I resume blogging about our current adventures. As you may all know we have re-located BACK to California. But before we made the move we still had a few things to see and do in Minneapolis. We were lucky to share those adventures with SAMI!! This post will be mostly pictures that many of you haven’t seen and I look forward to re-living our last week in Minneapolis as a family.
The first couple of days we stayed close to home as I prepared for a phone interview. We checked out a concert in the park and we attempted to go to Lake Calhoun, but as we were parking it began to rain and then down pour. SO instead we checked out Hunt and Gather. Sami picked up a 1967 cook book for her mama and I spied a set of lockers.

One night after dinner we decided to go to the infamous Sebastian’s Ice Cream. This ice cream is some of the best ice cream I have ever had and Zoe desperately wanted to try it. Her dada was kind enough to share.

Sami has family in Wisconsin and we needed an excuse to visit the neighbors across the river.

We had a blast hanging out with the Lemke family. They were all so warm and welcoming! The next day we were off on a bike ride to the Guthrie and Mill City Museum. We couldn’t leave Minneapolis without visiting these two places.

After a wonderful day in the city Tommy decided to take me on a date to go get the lockers I had my eyes on. Thanks Sami for watching Zoe!
And then we treated Sami to a Bahn Mi at Lu’s on Eat Street.
We are about half way through Sami’s trip. A few hours after we finished our sandwiches my Minnesota BFF delivered her beautiful baby boy, ACE! So we spent the next two days hanging out with Sunny and Zoe. I will save those pictures for another post, (you’re welcome). The next couple of days we hung around the house. A trip to Minnesota isn’t complete without a visit to the Sculpture Park. Zoe did a mini session with her dada and I couldn’t just chose one…
Now I have a funny story… It was Sami’s last dinner and we had been talking up the Jucy Lucy from Matt’s Bar. After we all enjoyed our delicious cheesy lava burgers we noticed Zoe had a code brown. Since we were in a bar I knew there wasn’t going to be a changing table, we paid the bill and decided to change her diaper in the car. Before we left we wanted to grab a quick picture in front of the bar (it was one of our favorite places and I wanted to have a picture to remember it by). The girls took their picture first and up next was our family picture. I was holding Zoe on the outside and then decided to give her to Tommy to bring her to the middle. While moving Zoe from one arm to the other he noticed there was something brown on his arm, so he handed her back to me. After further investigation it turned out to be POOP… wait for it. I lifted up Zoe’s skirt to see which side it was exploding out of and all I see is BUNS! (not sure how I didn’t get poop on me, but I was happier cleaning it then getting it on me) Tommy goes searching for the missing diaper… it turns up on the street corner, (looks like Zoe has a pretty good arm.) We took care of business right then and there. Sami was nice enough to capture the moment from across the street.
We spent Sami’s last day at the lake and packing.
We are so glad that Sami made it out before we decided to move back to California. It was such a great trip filled with lots of memories and laughs, oh and a few moments were spent on the iPad playing Candy Crush
