Well obviously I am not engaged (because I am already married), but I am happy to announce and confirm that Ashley is engaged to Brady. Their story spans a decade, but they are about to embark on a whole new chapter of their lives together as husband and wife. Tommy, Zoe and I could not have been more thrilled to celebrate with them when they came to visit. Tommy busted out some chalk art and Zoe and I secretly left them a card on their bed. During their visit we happened to take them to many of the beautiful spots in Minneapolis where we were able to capture some amazingly beautiful photos of them. (More on their visit later) Here are some of the pictures…there are a lot of out takes, but I know how Ashley feels about those so I will save those for my own laughs. Oh, and many of them they are hoarding for themselves, so this is what I have. I did include a few silly ones, sorry Ash, they are too funny to not share. Needless to say we welcome Brady into our family as Uncle Brady and are looking forward to our visit to California in celebration of their wedding.

Como Zoo and Conservatory
6/3/2013 It has been awhile since I have posted so I am just going to get us all caught up with a few picture posts. We are thoroughly enjoying the warmer weather and getting plenty of sunshine amidst a few thunderstorms.
4/28/2013 SO…here are a few pictures from our visit to Como Zoo in St. Paul. It is a much smaller zoo than we are used to, but it is FREE. We enjoyed seeing the animals (inside, since it was still chilly out for them). I think Zoe’s favorite animals were the foxes and wolf (she called them puppies). She was a little scared of the Sea Lion and Giraffe (they were unusually close for comfort). She enjoyed running around and watching the other children. We also checked out the observatory. It was filled with beautiful plants and flowers. It was so refreshing to see so much green after a long white winter. When we were finished at the zoo and conservatory we walked over to the park for a little picnic. It was a beautiful day in St. Paul!

GOOOAAAAL!!!!!!
4/20/2013 Today was finally a beautiful day. It has been a long winter and we are very excited to welcome spring. Tommy thought it would be fun for us to check out a soccer game. So for one of my birthday presents he bought us a couple tickets to see the Minnesota United FC vs. FC Edmonton (a Canadian team) play at the Metrodome.

Zoe and My Adventure to Connecticut pt.1
4/12/2013 We FINALLY made it to the airport after our original flight had been canceled due to ANOTHER WINTER STORM. After it was all said and done we got about 12-15 inches of snow. I never thought that we would run into this problem in the middle of April, but it happened. The great thing I love about Minnesota and the snow is that they never let it get them down. Right when the snow starts falling there are trucks out dropping ice and streets and freeways are being plowed. So thankfully we were able to reschedule our flight for Friday morning bright and early. Continue reading “Zoe and My Adventure to Connecticut pt.1”
