Before we moved to Minnesota the Kelvington’s were planning a family reunion. So when we did move they decided to add a few days to their trip so they could visit us. We are so glad they did!

They arrived just in time for dinner. We dropped off their luggage and picked up Tommy and the kids. We all piled into the car and headed to Brasa. The kids “played” cornhole while we chatted and waited to be seated. The kids loved playing with the bean bags and sliding down the boards. After dinner we had to make a quick stop at our favorite store! You guessed it, we went to Target!

Then it was time for a bath and bed!

In the morning we woke up and had Gluten free waffles with strawberries and almond chocolate spread. Then Uncle Brady helped Zoe with some Math. After naps we decided to check out the splash pad.

We loved Avery’s Minnesota nice onsie!

The everybody joined me in bed for some morning cuddles. I loved watching them all wake up together and chat, giggle and wrestle. Grey ended up getting some light sabers and brought them into play with Avery. Then they all moved to the living room to play together. Eventually we all got ready and headed to the Mall of America!

We started at the American Girls store. It was our first time in the store and boy were we overwhelmed. They have so many new dolls and ACCESSORIES! Ashley and I chatted about our dolls and how we couldn’t believe how much American Girls has grown over the years. We both have our original dolls and one day, maybe one day Zoe will be allowed to touch Samantha, but for now she remains packed away. We wandered in out of stores that peaked our interest. Then we found ourselves checking out the Nike sale. Lucky for us they were having a Independence Day sale. Both Ashley and I got a pair of shoes, as well as the two little ones. We ended the day at the Shake Shack! We enjoyed our burgers, chicken sandwiches, custards and maybe left in a hurry after water was spilled.

Once we got home from the mall, it was time for bath and bedtime stories. These two enjoyed looking at a book while Uncle Brady read a story or two to Zoe.

Before Auntie Ashie, Uncle Brady and Avery left for the lake we played a little more. I really wanted to pack in as much as possible so we got ready fast and made it down to the Guthrie.

Lucky for us the Kelvington’s were only a 2 1/2 hour drive from us. So we decided to visit them at the lake for the day. We had so much fun at Ruth Lake. We took a ride on the pontoon, we paddle boated, played in the sand, looked for loons, played with lots of toys, and made new friends! It was such a fun and relaxing day.

We enjoyed every minute with our Auntie Ashie, Uncle Brady and cousin Averys. We are so glad they stopped to visit us. And the fun didn’t stop there, we ended up on the same flight to California as them. We have had a blast traveling with them and look forward to the next time!
